What was your inspiration for this trip?
I was inspired by the beauty of nature, and the friendliness of the people I met on this trip. Everywhere I went, I felt like a part of a community, and everyone was so welcoming. The food was also amazing, and I never got sick even though I travelled a lot.
How did you go about planning it?
I had always wanted to go to Japan, and when the time came I knew just the person to ask- my dad. He’s always been open to new experiences and he loves travelling, so I knew he would be excited about going too.
We started planning our trip a few months in advance, and it wasn’t easy because we both work full-time jobs. But we managed to find some great deals on airfare and hotels, and we were finally able to leave for Japan on May 5th!
The first thing we did upon arriving in Japan was visit Tokyo Disney Resort. We had never been there before and it was amazing! The parks were huge, the rides were thrilling, and the food was delicious. After spending a day at Tokyo Disney Resort, we headed out to see the real Japan.
Our first stop was Nagano prefecture, where we spent four days skiing at Gstage Hirano ski resort. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip- not only did we get to spend some quality time with each other, but we also got to see some of the most scenic parts of Japan mountainous region.
After skiing in Nagano prefecture, we flew south to Hiroshima for a two-day trip. Hiroshima is known for its horrific atomic bombing that took place during World War II, but thankfully it is now a beautiful city with plenty of interesting attractions for tourists to enjoy.

What were some of the highlights of the trip?
The highlight of the trip for me was the opportunity to see so many different cultures and landscapes. The people I met were also a highlight, as each one had their own story to share. One person in particular, an elderly gentleman from Myanmar who had lived through several wars and famines, was truly inspirational. Seeing his life story and how he overcame such adversity was something I will never forget.
Another highlight of the trip was the food. I loved every meal I ate, whether it was a traditional dish from a certain country or something more exotic that I had never tasted before. Every bite was delicious and I learned a lot about different cultures while eating them.
Overall, my trip was unforgettable and I am grateful to have been able to experience it.

1. Traveling can be a great way to see new and different cultures, and to learn about different ways of life.
2. It’s important to be flexible when planning a trip, in order to allow for unexpected delays or changes.
3. It’s worth spending time researching the area you’re visiting before you leave, in order to make sure that your trip is as enjoyable as possible.
4. It’s also important to be prepared for cold weather and rough terrain – both of which can be encountered on any trip!
5. Finally, never forget to enjoy yourself – everyone travels differently, so take the time to enjoy the experiences that are unique to each destination.
Was there anything you didn’t expect while on the trip?
I was not expecting to be so entertained on the trip. The activities we were able to participate in – such as zip lining and kayaking – were more than I could have ever imagined. I also wasn’t expecting how much I would enjoy the company of my fellow travelers. We all had such a great time getting to know each other, and even though we all came from different backgrounds, we managed to connect on a personal level. Overall, the trip was unforgettable and I’m grateful for the experience.
